<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia has named Jake Amelunke as Housing Programs manager with the City's Housing and Neighborhood Services department. He began working in this role March 31.<br /><br />"Jake's extensive experience with Housing and Urban Development programs and the Columbia Community Land Trust, his relationships with community nonprofits and his background in project management and construction will be extremely valuable in this position," said Housing and Neighborhood Services director Rebecca Thompson.<br /><br />Amelunke has been with the City's Housing Programs division since 2015, serving as a housing programs specialist and as the housing development coordinator. Prior to joining the City, he worked in the construction industry and has in-depth, hands-on experience with the development and construction process.<br /><br />Amelunke earned his bachelor's degree in business management and HR m
 anagement, with a minor in finance, from Columbia College.<br /><br />"I look forward to my new position as Housing Programs manager. I intend to work with nonprofits in the Columbia area and review our internal affordable housing programs to address housing needs in the City," Amelunke said.<br /><br />The Housing Programs division develops citywide plans and goals for the implementation of federal and local resources dedicated to meeting affordable housing and community development needs.</div>
