(COLUMBIA, MO) -
The City of Columbia Stormwater Utility has scheduled an interested parties meeting to discuss a proposed stormwater infrastructure improvement project near Braemore Road.

The meeting is set for 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in Conference Room 1B at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.

This proposed project would alleviate known stormwater drainage issues near Braemore Road and Highland Drive with additional inlets and pipes.

An additional proposal would include rehabilitation of existing stormwater infrastructure on Fairview Road. In addition, the project may incorporate stormwater management features such as swales and underdrains. The Utility is also considering a curb bumpout on Summit Road that would improve capacity of the nearby stormwater inlet, but would narrow the width of Summit Road.

Information and diagrams showing preliminary concepts will be available for public review, and Stormwater Utility staff will be present to answer questions.

Questions and comments will also be accepted online at BeHeard.CoMo.gov through April 29.
