<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia will begin accepting proposals April 21 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) program funding. Interested organizations and individuals are encouraged to submit proposals for eligible projects that align with the City’s 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan.<br /><br />The deadline to submit a required letter of intent for both FY 2026 and reallocated CDBG and HOME funds is May 2, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. The final deadline to submit full proposals is May 9, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Late submissions for either deadline will not be accepted.<br /><br />For FY 2026, the City anticipates receiving approximately $1.1 million in CDBG funds and $500,000 in HOME funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Additionally, the City expects to reallocate up to $530,000 in carryover CDBG funds, $60,668.22 in C
 DBG-CV funds and $400,000 in carryover HOME funds.<br /><br />Proposals must support activities eligible under the CDBG and HOME programs. Projects applying for reallocated funds should be prepared to begin work by summer 2025, as priority will be given to those that are ready to proceed quickly.<br /><br />Staff will review project eligibility; the Housing and Community Development Commission (HCDC) will review criteria, application submission procedures, and project implementation and requirements.<br /><br />For information on the application process, visit <a href="https://www.como.gov/housing-programs-division/">CoMo.gov/community-development/housing-programs-division/</a>. To receive an application or submit questions, email <a href="mailto:housingprograms@como.gov">housingprograms@como.gov</a>.<br /><br />The City of Columbia does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, marital status, familial status, disability or sexua
