<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia is hosting the monthly Let's Talk Local discussion from 5:30-7 p.m. May 14 at the Benton Elementary School cafeteria, 1410 Hinkson Ave. This month's discussion will feature Ward 3 Council Member Jacque Sample.<br /><br />This month's topic will focus on the City's new Office of Violence Prevention. The office's administrator, D'Markus Thomas-Brown, will be present to discuss the role the office will play in working with law enforcement and community partners to address community violence.<br /><br />The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for residents to ask questions related to the topic or other issues. Refreshments will be provided.<br /><br />If there are specific topics or questions you would like to be addressed, please share them at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://beheard.como.gov/ask-city-council">BeHeard.CoMo.gov/ask-city-council</a>. Council m
