<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Fire Department responds to a residential structure fire, May 18</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display: inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Sunday, May 18, at 5:07 a.m., the Columbia Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 500 block of Dustin Drive. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Crews arrived at the scene within four minutes and found a two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Due to the rapidly deteriorating conditions, firefighters initiated defensive fire operations to control the fire from outside the structure. Nine Columbia Fire units, comprising 20 personnel, responded to this incident. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The home sustained major damage as a result of the fire. A home located to the west of the structure also sustained minor heat damage to the exterior.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The fire was under control in approximately 25 minutes. Crews remained at the scene for several hours to assist with the fire investigation and extinguish any hidden fire. There were no injuries.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Fire Marshals are continuing to investigate the cause and origin of the fire. </span></p></div>
