<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <em>Update: <em>A</em><em>n additional date </em><em>has been added </em><em>that was scheduled after this release was initially published.</em><br /></em><br />Columbia City Council members invite community members to a series of informal office hours to discuss the potential impact of federal and state executive orders on the community and City programs and staff. <br /><br />Residents are invited to attend any of the drop-in style meetings to learn more about potential impacts to federal funding and discuss the executive orders with Council members and staff. The office hours will be on the following dates and are open to residents from any ward:<br />
<ul>
<li>Saturday, June 7, 10 a.m. to noon with Council Member Nick Foster and City staff at Conference Room 1A at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway</li>
<li>Monday, June 9, 1-3 p.m. with Mayor Barbara Buffaloe and City staff at the Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services department, 1005 W. Worley St.</li>
<li>Wednesday, June 11, 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Council Member Jacque Sample and City staff at the Columbia Fire Department’s Fire Training Academy, 700 Big Bear Blvd.</li>
<li><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thursday, June 12, 5:30-7:30 p.m. with Council Member Don Waterman and City staff in Room C of the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC), 1701 W. Ash St.</span></li>
<li>Sunday, June 15, 2-4 p.m. with Council Member Valerie Carroll and City staff at the Friends Room of the Daniel Boone Regional Library, 100 W. Broadway</li>
</ul>
These office hours are in response to public input at the May 5, 2025, City Council meeting, where residents raised concerns about proposed changes to the City’s Strategic Plan as a result of the executive orders. <br /><br /><em><span style="font-weight: 400;">Members of the public may attend any open meeting.
