<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - City of Columbia offices will be closed Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth, which honors the end to slavery in the United States. Several City services will be impacted by the holiday.<br /><br />Residential curbside trash will not be collected on the observed holiday and will be delayed by one day the remainder of the week. Residents can download the COMO Recycle and Trash App for collection day reminders and service notifications. Questions concerning the collection schedule should be directed to the Contact Center at 573.874.CITY (2489). The landfill will also be closed June 19.<br /><br />Go COMO, Columbia's public transit system, will not operate June 19. Additionally, all Go COMO fixed route and Paratransit services will begin at noon Saturday, June 21, due to the downtown Juneteenth parade. The gold and orange bus routes will also detour around celebrations at Douglass Park June 2

Please check Go COMO social media, the ETA SPOT app or signs posted at Wabash Bus Station and in bus shelters for more information about the detours.<br /><br />Parking enforcement will be suspended June 19 and will resume at 8 a.m. Friday, June 20. <br /><br />The City's Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) will operate at reduced hours on Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Rec swim will be available from noon to 2:30 p.m. The Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center, Lake of the Woods Pool and Douglass Family Aquatic Center will be open from 1-5 p.m. <br /><br />Although administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed, all other emergency services will be available.<br /><br />While Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services will be closed, Animal Control will respond to emergencies.<br /><br />Please visit CoMo.gov/Utilities for phone numbers to contact staff regarding emergencies related to Water & Light, Sewer and Stormwater.<
