<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police searching for three suspects in East Broadway homicide and Scott Boulevard armed robbery</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><strong>Armed robbery on Scott Boulevard</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 2:30 a.m. June 14, three Black male suspects entered a business in the 600 block of Scott Boulevard. One of the suspects remained near the doorway acting as a lookout, while the other two went behind the counter and began ransacking the business. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One of the suspects was armed with a handgun and attempted to force the clerk to open a safe. The clerk was unable to do so. The suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise before fleeing the scene.</span></p>
<p><strong>Armed robbery on Broadway and Eighth Street and homicide on East Broadway </strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 8 p.m. June 15 Columbia Police responded to a shots fired call in the area of East Broadway and Old 63. Police officers located Zarian Simpson, 18, of Columbia, with a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services treated Simpson at the scene, and he was then taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Simpson later died of injuries sustained in the shooting. His next of kin have been notified. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police investigators discovered Simpson was the victim of an armed robbery that occurred on Broadway and Eighth Street just prior to the shooting on East Broadway and Old 63. Simpson followed the suspects as they were fleeing the scene, and was shot by one of them as they were both traveling in vehicles on the roadway.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Police detectives arrested a juvenile on charges of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. </span></p>
<p><strong>Suspects at large</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Police Department has developed probable cause to arrest two additional juveniles, ages 13 and 15, for their involvement in both of these incidents as well as an adult male identified as Steven Paden. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">All three suspects were seen in Glasgow, Mo., on June 16 and 17. They are considered armed and dangerous. If they are seen, please call 911 immediately. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Suspect No. 1 is a light-skinned Black male, 13, of medium build with long hair. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Suspect No. 2 is a dark-skinned Black male, 15, of small build with short dread locks. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Suspect No. 3 is Steven Paden, 24, of Columbia, a dark-skinned Black male of medium build with red or burgundy dreadlocks. </span></p>
