<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia Public Works department has scheduled a meeting concerning a proposed sidewalk improvement project along West Broadway. This meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the Activity and Recreational Center (ARC), 1701 W. Ash St.<br /><br />The purpose of this meeting is to present the design concept for a sidewalk to fill in the gap along the south side of West Broadway between Maplewood Drive and West Boulevard. This proposed sidewalk project will include construction of a 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk with a 3-foot-wide grass parkway. The project will also include reconstruction of driveway approaches to tie in with the proposed sidewalk and stormwater improvements. If approved, construction would be scheduled to start in spring 2027.<br /><br />The meeting will follow an open house format, allowing residents to view displays of the proposed improvements a
 t their own pace. City engineering staff will be available to answer questions and a public comment form will be provided for written feedback. Preliminary plans for the project are available online at <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://beheard.como.gov/West-Broadway-sidewalk">BeHeard.CoMo.gov/West-Broadway-sidewalk</a>, where comments can also be submitted for those unable to attend in person.<br /><br />Members of the public may attend any open meeting. For requests for accommodations related to disability, please call 573.874.CITY (2489) or email City@CoMo.gov. In order to assist staff in making the appropriate arrangements for your accommodation, please make your request as far in advance of the posted meeting date as possible.</div>
