<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Columbia Police makes arrest in response to assault on Vandiver Drive</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On July 21, at about 1:50 a.m., Columbia Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Vandiver Drive for a vehicle collision with a pedestrian. The investigation determined that the crash was the result of an intentional act. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Witnesses stated that 28-year-old Steven Brunstrom of Ashland punched a victim in the face, then got in his vehicle and threatened to kill a second victim. Brunstrom drove and struck the second victim with his vehicle until he collided with a building on the 1700 block of Parker Street. The second victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Brunstrom fled the scene, but was later located at his residence in Ashland and arrested with the assistance of Boone County Sheriff's Office and Ashland Police Department. He was arrested for assault in the first degree, domestic assault in the third degree, stalking in the first degree, armed criminal action, felony resisting arrest and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. </span></p>
