(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia is hosting a fourth session in its series of town hall meetings aimed at engaging residents in the City’s budget process.

The upcoming town hall will focus on the Fiscal Year 2026 budget, providing residents an overview of what will be included in the proposed budget. Sessions will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11 in Conference Rooms 1A/1B in City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. The same information will be presented at both sessions.

These interactive events continue to provide an opportunity for community members to gain a deeper understanding of how the City develops its budget, ask questions and participate in activities designed to foster involvement and education.

"We believe it’s essential to involve our residents in the budgeting process and help them better understand how we plan and allocate our
resources," said Finance Director Matthew Lue. "These town halls are a great opportunity for Columbia residents to gain insight into how the budget process works in a fun way, which we hope will empower them to participate more actively in shaping the City’s financial decisions and priorities."

The town halls are open to all Columbia residents. Participants are asked to register at the following link: https://forms.gle/zhokg69B1iZogMfb8.
