<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Speed hump installations on Rollins Road, East Walnut Street set for Aug. 12-13; resurfacing on Alfred Street, Country Club Drive Aug. 13-14</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Crews with the City of Columbia Street division will install speed humps and resurface streets in multiple locations Aug. 12-14.<br /><br /><strong>Rollins Road speed humps - Aug. 12</strong><br />On Tuesday, Aug. 12, three speed humps will be installed on Rollins Road near the intersections of Hulen Drive, Martin Drive and Bourn Avenue. A crosswalk planned for the intersection of Martin Drive will be installed at a later date. <br /><br />This work is part of the <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://beheard.como.gov/rollins-road-traffic-calming">Rollins Road traffic calming project</a>, which included public meetings July 8 and Dec. 9, 2024, and was approved by City Council March 3, 2025. Speed hump installation on Rollins Road is expected to be completed by 5 p.m., weather permitting.<br /><br /><strong>East Walnut Street speed humps - Aug. 12-13</strong><br />Also on Aug. 12, crews w
ill begin installing six speed humps along East Walnut Street east of Old Highway 63. Work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Aug. 12. If delays occur due to weather or other factors, crews will return to finish the job starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13.<br /><br />Public meetings for the <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/beheard.como.gov/east-walnut-traffic-calming">East Walnut Street traffic calming project</a> were held April 22 and Sept. 30, 2024, and approved by City Council Dec. 2, 2024.<br /><br /><strong>Resurfacing - Aug. 13-14</strong><br />Aug. 13-14, City of Columbia Street division crews have scheduled mill and overlay resurfacing for the following streets:<br /><br />
<ul>
<li>Alfred Street</li>
<li>Country Club Drive</li>
</ul>
<strong>Work hours and traffic impacts</strong><br />Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Temporary lane closures will be in place and traffic control signs and flaggers will assist motorists. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution in work zones and take alternate routes when possible.</div>
