<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, pavement maintenance will take place on several Columbia streets, with work performed by both Capital Paving, contractors for the City of Columbia Public Works department, and City of Columbia Street division crews.<br /><br /><strong>Contractor work (Capital Paving, Aug. 18-Sept. 3)</strong><br />Mill and overlay pavement maintenance is scheduled for the following 13 residential streets:<br /><br />
<ul>
<li>South Glenwood Avenue from Redbud Lane to the south end of the street</li>
<li>Lakeshore Drive from South Glenwood Avenue to the south end of the street</li>
<li>Redbud Lane from Edgewood Avenue to South Glenwood Avenue</li>
<li>West Lathrop Road from Westwood Avenue to the east end of the street</li>
<li>South Garth Avenue from Lathrop Road to Business Loop 70 West</li>
<li>East Forest Avenue from North Providence Road to North Garth Avenue</li>
<li>Edgewood Avenue from West Broadway to West Stewart Road</li>
<li>Aldeah Avenue from West Broadway to West Ash Street</li>
<li>Alexander Avenue from West Ash Street to West Worley Street</li>
<li>Hirth Avenue from West Sexton Road to West Ash Street</li>
<li>North Glenwood Avenue from West Broadway to West Ash Street</li>
<li>Ridgeway Avenue from West Ash Street to Mikel Street</li>
<li>Anderson Avenue from West Worley Street to West Broadway</li>
</ul>
Work on these streets is expected to be complete by 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, weather permitting.<br /><br /><strong>City crews (Aug. 18-21)</strong><br /><span style="font-weight: 400;">City of Columbia Street division crews will resurface the following four residential streets:</span><br /><br />
<ul>
<li>Alfred Street</li>
<li>Country Club Drive</li>
<li>Hickory Hill Drive</li>
<li>West Broadway from Garth Avenue to Aldeah Avenue</li>
</ul>
Resurfacing for Alfred Street and Country Club Drive was <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=9344">originally scheduled for Aug. 13-14</a>, but was delayed due to mechanical issues. Work on these four streets is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21, weather permitting.<br /><br /><strong>Work hours and traffic impacts</strong><br />Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. "No parking" signs will be posted at least 24 hours in advance on streets where parking is allowed. Please avoid parking in signed areas during working hours.<br /><br />Temporary lane closures will be required. Traffic control signs and flaggers will guide motorists through work zones as needed. Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution and consider alternate routes.<br /><br />All dates are weather permitting and subject to change.
