<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px; margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Update: Pavement maintenance using Onyx now scheduled to start Sept. 2; additional streets also announced for mill and overlay resurfacing work</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Due to contractor scheduling conflicts, pavement maintenance work on various Columbia streets receiving Onyx surface treatment will now take place starting Tuesday, Sept. 2.<br /><br />A <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=9360">previous press release</a> had reported that this work would occur Aug. 27-Sept. 12.<br /><br />Lionmark Contracting, contractors for the City of Columbia Public Works department, will apply Onyx surface treatment to streets that received a chip seal in 2025. This treatment is intended to extend the life of those streets and improve driving surface conditions.<br /><br />Crews are expected to complete Onyx treatments by 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16. Streets will be treated in the order listed below:<br /><br />

<li>West Prairieview Drive from North Creasy Springs Road to Prairie Lane</li>
<li>Blue Ridge Road from North Garth Avenue to Piranha Court</li>
<li>Lovejoy Lane from Deer Run Court to Grace Ellen Drive</li>
<li>Lovejoy Lane from Blue Ridge Road to Deer Run Drive</li>

Additional streets will be resurfaced using a mill and overlay starting next week. This work will be performed by Capital Paving, contractors for the City of Columbia Public Works department, Sept. 2-11, on the following two streets:<br /><br />
<ul>
<li>Primrose Drive from North Stadium Boulevard to Sunflower Street</li>
<li>North Creasy Springs Road from Business Loop 70 West to the concrete north of Proctor Drive</li>
</ul>
For streets that normally allow parking, orange ‘No Parking' signs will be placed at least 24 hours in advance along streets scheduled for maintenance. Drivers are asked to avoid parking on these streets during the dates and times listed on the signs. Vehicles parked in work zones during active hours may be subject to towing. Crews will work each day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as necessary until projects are completed.</div>
