(COLUMBIA, MO) - The City of Columbia has launched CoMo to Zero, an ambitious initiative aimed at eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries on Columbia's roadways. Modeled after the national Vision Zero movement, CoMo to Zero emphasizes safety as a shared responsibility among everyone who uses the transportation system.

The initiative brings together City departments, community organizations and residents to create a safer, more connected community. CoMo to Zero focuses on a proactive approach - analyzing crash data, identifying high-risk locations and prioritizing improvements that prevent crashes before they happen.

Residents are encouraged to visit CoMoToZero.com and also to share their experiences through the City's online engagement platform, BeHeardCoMo.

Two ways to get involved include:

Visit the BeHeard page to take a brief survey about your travel habits and safety concerns

Use the interactive map to mark specific locations where you feel unsafe, whether walking, biking, driving or using public transportation

Public input will help identify projects, policies and improvements that can reduce crashes and improve safety citywide.

For more information and to participate, visit CoMoToZero.com or BeHeard.CoMo.gov/CoMo-to-Zero-action-plan.
