<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Update: City of Columbia pilots downtown weekend (10/10-10/12) rideshare pickup locations</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">This update should clear up some confusion and answer a few questions in regards to this weekend’s rideshare pickup location test. We first want to address this as a test and not a permanent downtown policy. Recently, the downtown area has had issues of people walking into and rideshare drivers blocking roadways. The City of Columbia and Columbia Police Department are piloting this method to address these issues and see if it improves traffic flow in the downtown area and increases the safety of our downtown patrons.. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The rideshare apps have been notified and will be </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">directing drivers and riders to the designated pickup locations</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">. The downtown area that will direct rideshares to these stands stretch west to the 9th Street stand, east to the Waugh Street stand, north to the 10th street stand and south to the Elm Street stand. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Rideshares outside of this designated downtown area will not be required to pickup at the rideshare stands. These stands are designated only for pickup and not for drop off. <br /><br />The attached image shows the downtown area affected by these pickup locations.<br /></span></p>
