<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia is hosting its monthly Let’s Talk Local discussion from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the Molly Thomas Bowden Neighborhood Policing Center, 1204 International Drive.<br /><br />This discussion will feature Ward 2 Council Member Vera Elwood and will focus on the mission of the Office of Violence Prevention. D’Markus Thomas-Brown, administrator of the office, will provide a presentation on steps the City is taking to address community violence.<br /><br />Bring your questions to the event or submit in advance on <a href="https://beheard.como.gov/ask-city-council">BeHeard.CoMo.gov/ask-city-council</a>. Council members and City staff will try to answer these as time allows at the meeting. Answers to questions submitted online will also be posted on BeHeard following the meeting.<br /><br />These meetings are open to all residents from any ward. Refreshments will be pr
