<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <span style="font-weight: 400;">Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, City of Columbia Public Works Street division crews will perform road work on East Walnut Street east of Old U.S. 63.</span><br /><br />In several locations between Old U.S. 63 and Calvin Drive, sections of the roadway edge are deteriorating. These areas, which are currently marked with dotted lines and utility locate flags, will be removed and replaced with concrete to stabilize the roadway.<br /><br />Crews will work Nov. 6-7 and again Nov. 10-14. Work will occur on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11, which is an observed City holiday.<br /><br />Lane closures will be required while the work is underway. Flaggers will guide traffic safely through the area. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and watch for workers.<br /><br />The project is expected to be completed, and all lanes reopened, by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, weather permitti
