<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Update: Lane closures for road work on East Walnut Street now scheduled for Nov. 10-21</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Due to construction delays, City of Columbia Public Works Street division crews will now begin road work on East Walnut Street east of Old U.S. 63 at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10.<br /><br />As stated in a <a style="white-space:nowrap" href="https://www.como.gov/CMS/pressreleases/view.php?id=9458">previous release</a>, sections of the roadway edge are deteriorating in several locations between Old U.S. 63 and Calvin Drive. These areas, which are currently marked with dotted lines and utility locate flags, will be removed and replaced with concrete to stabilize the roadway.<br /><br />Work will not occur on Veterans Day, Tuesday, Nov. 11. The previous release had stated that work would take place on Veterans Day, a City-observed holiday.<br /><br />Lane closures will be required while the work is underway. Flaggers will guide traffic safely through the area. Drivers are encouraged to slow down and watch f
 or workers.<br /><br />The project is expected to be completed, and all lanes reopened, by 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, weather permitting.</div>
