<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Columbia Regional Airport (COU) continues its record-setting momentum, celebrating another milestone in passenger growth. In October, COU recorded 14,202 departing passengers, setting a new record in the airport’s history. <br /><br />With United Airlines now operating daily flights to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) and Denver (DEN), and American Airlines continuing service to Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) and ORD, total passenger traffic reached 28,810 arrivals and departures combined for the month of October. This figure sends a clear signal that mid-Missouri travelers are embracing convenient, local air service options close to home. <br /><br />"These numbers reflect the confidence travelers have in choosing their local airport," said airport manager Michael Parks. "United’s new service, combined with American Airlines existing routes, gives passengers access to hundreds of des
 tinations around the world, while saving time and supporting our local economy." <br /><br />The addition of United Airlines service in late September marks a major step forward in COU’s ongoing growth, offering expanded connectivity and helping strengthen the airport’s position as central Missouri’s airport of choice. <br /><br />Looking ahead, COU is preparing for Thanksgiving travel, with passenger volumes projected to reach over 5,500 total travelers during the holiday week. Airport officials encourage travelers to arrive early, plan ahead and check their flight status directly with their airline before heading to the terminal. <br /><br />With continued parking enhancements, new air service and free parking just steps from the front door, COU combines small-airport convenience with big-airport connections, linking travelers to the world through both American Airlines and United Airlines. <br /><br />To learn more, visit FlyCOU.com.</div>
