<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The City of Columbia Historic Preservation Commission is now accepting applications for the Most Notable Properties Program. Selected homes will be recognized for their contributions to preserving the history of Columbia.<br /><br />The HPC Most Notable Properties designation is open to properties over 50 years old and located within the City of Columbia limits. Properties may be a house, a park or a workplace which is used residentially, industrially or commercially, may be endangered or derelict, recently restored or just nicely maintained. It does not matter if property is modest or grand, hidden-away or in the public view, as long as it plays a part in the historical & architectural influences that help shape Columbia’s identity.<br /><br />Any property nominated to the Most Notable Historic Property program will be reviewed for historic, cultural or architectural importance before th
 e finalists for 2026 are determined. Once the finalists are selected, winning property owners will be notified by email, and all properties will be scheduled with a visit for photographic documentation and historic research. <br /><br />Property owners and their families will be invited to the Most Notable Historic Property awards ceremony in May. Application forms can be viewed at CoMo.gov/boards/historic-preservation-commission/most-notable-properties-program/.<br /><br />The event has been held since 1998 and nearly 220 properties have been recognized to-date.</div>
