<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, Twehous Excavating Company, contractors for the University of Missouri, will close South Sixth Street between East Stewart Road and Elm Street. The contractor will locate underground utilities to ensure they do not conflict with plans for a future University of Missouri steam tunnel.<br /><br />The closure will cover roughly 500 feet of South Sixth Street north of East Stewart Road. Detour signs will guide drivers around the work area.<br /><br />All sidewalks will remain open. Multiple metered parking spaces will be closed, with "no parking" signs placed on affected meters at least 24 hours in advance.<br /><br />Work is expected to conclude and the road will be reopened by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, weather permitting.</div>
