<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Dec. 8,</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">detectives with the Columbia Police Department’s (CPD)Vice, Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, in coordination with the North Missouri Drug Task Force, served two search warrants as part of an ongoing investigation into fentanyl trafficking in Columbia.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The operation resulted in the arrest of Frazier Pratt, 61, of Columbia, and the seizure of approximately 1.4 pounds of suspected fentanyl-enough to supply an estimated 6,350 user-level doses-and three firearms. Pratt was arrested and charged with one count of drug trafficking and three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, as little as two milligrams of fentanyl can be fatal depending on a person’s body size, tolerance and past usage, making this one of the most significant drug seizures in the area in recent memory.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">"This seizure represents a key achievement in our ongoing efforts to safeguard the public from dangerous drugs," said CPD Lt. Neal Sedgwick. "Fentanyl continues to devastate our community, and we are relentless in our mission to stop these deadly drugs from reaching our neighborhoods."</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Police Department thanks the North Missouri Drug Task Force for their assistance in the investigation.</span></p>
