<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 9:03 p.m. on Jan. 4, Columbia Police responded to a shots fired call at the 4800 block of Clark Lane. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Three victims were shot during the incident. They sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital. One of the victims, Brianna N. Hawkins, 21, of Fulton, died at the hospital. Next of kin has been notified. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">James Lamont Caldwell Jr, 23, of Fulton, has been arrested for the charges of murder in the first degree, two counts of assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, felon in possession of a weapon and unlawful use of a weapon.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Columbia Police Department thanks the residents in the area for your patience as we continue to investigate the scene. We would also like to thank the other agencies that assisted with this incident.</span></p>
