<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;">At about 9:17 a.m. on Jan. 14, Columbia Police responded to a shots fired call at the 3300 block of Parker Street.</p>
<p>The investigation revealed that Travis Peterson, 44, of Columbia, was involved in a domestic disturbance and had shot a firearm. The shot did not strike anyone. Peterson then entered a residence and barricaded himself. After an hours-long standoff, Peterson exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident or injury. </p>
<p>Peterson was charged with domestic assault in the first degree, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, harassment in the first degree and resisting arrest.</p>
<p>The Columbia Police Department would like to thank the Columbia Fire Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol and Boone County Hospital for their assistance during this incident.</p>
