<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 8:15 p.m. on Jan. 18, Columbia Police responded to a shots-fired call at the 1400 block of Ridgemont Court. Officers arrived on the scene and located a male victim with life-threatening gunshot wounds. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Officers provided medical treatment until emergency medical services arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim was identified as Michael Ryan Burke, 42, of Columbia, who later died of injuries sustained in the shooting. Next of kin have been notified.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Columbia Police have detained multiple individuals regarding this homicide investigation. Additional details will be released at a later time. This is an active and ongoing investigation.</span></p>
