<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display: inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 8:38 a.m., Columbia Fire Department (CFD) companies were dispatched to a vehicle collision involving extrication located in the 1100</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">block of Smiley Lane</span><strong>. </strong></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Firefighters arrived within six minutes to find a rolled-over vehicle resting on its roof, located dangerously on a landscaped wall. Crews immediately began stabilizing the vehicle after confirming an adult occupant was trapped inside. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additional companies arrived and coordinated a safe mechanical extrication, which was successfully completed in less than 10 minutes despite challenging conditions.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The occupant was safely removed from the vehicle and transferred to the awaiting paramedics. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A total of two CFD companies, one Battalion Chief and a Safety Officer, comprising eight personnel, responded to this incident.</span></p></div>
