<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">On March 2, the City of Columbia began streamlining access to services with the launch of My Key, a new universal eligibility program. The initiative is designed to potentially remove some barriers to applying for assistance by allowing residents to apply through a secure, single sign-on system and submit documentation annually, or as required.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">By centralizing the verification process, My Key grants access to four major programs simultaneously: </span></p>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Utility Assistance</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Parks and Recreation Financial Assistance</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Medication Assistance</span></li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Paratransit</span></li>
</ul>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The shift can eliminate the need for residents to provide the same paperwork to multiple departments, significantly reducing the time and transportation costs often associated with navigating City services.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Residents can begin the registration process online at </span><a style="white-space:nowrap" href="http://mykey.como.gov"><span style="font-weight: 400;">mykey.CoMo.gov</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400;">. Those who prefer in-person support or need to submit annual paperwork may bring supporting documentation to Public Health and Human Services, located at 1005 W. Worley St. Once eligibility is verified, a resident’s key can remain active for up to a full calendar year, depending on the program.</span></p></div>
