<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The City of Columbia has finalized its list of organizations receiving grant funding for Juneteenth events. There were 16 applications, representing both new and existing events and initiatives, received by the City of Columbia for its Juneteenth Grant program. The applications were evaluated by a committee based on set criteria and all 16 were awarded funding for their event or initiative. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The following events or initiatives were awarded:</span></p>

<li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Juneteenth: "Honoring those that came before us": St. Paul AME Church</span></li>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Last fall, the City of Columbia applied for and received grant funding from the Missouri Division of Tourism, which distributed funds to communities to support Juneteenth celebrations across the state. The City was awarded $26,982, all of which was awarded to the grant applicants.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Additionally, there will be a workshop for grant recipients. This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn more about receiving the grant funds and the post-event report required of recipients. The workshop will take place at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 31 at the Walton Building, 300 S. Providence Rd.</span></p></div>
