<div style="font-size: 110%; line-height:150%;"><h1 style="clear:both; margin-top: 75px;  margin-bottom: 10px; font-weight: bold; font-size: 130%;">Mill and overlay pavement maintenance scheduled on various City streets, Sept. 8-11</h1>
<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, Capital Paving, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, will perform mill and overlay pavement maintenance on multiple streets throughout Columbia.<br /><br />During the project, crews will mill away the worn top layer of asphalt and pave a new asphalt surface to improve the condition of the roadway.<br /><br />Resurfacing will take place at the following locations:<br /><br />
<ul>
<li>The North Garth Avenue and Blue Ridge Road roundabout</li>
<li>Fox Trot Drive from Sea Eagle Drive to Alligator Lane</li>
<li>Medavista Drive from West Rollins Road to Ridge Road</li>
<li>Ridge Road from West Boulevard to Medavista Drive</li>
<li>Marion Drive from West Rollins Road to Ridge Road</li>
<li>Bittersweet Court from Tracy Drive to the end of the street</li>
<li>Tracy Drive from Sunset Lane to West Stewart Road</li>
<li>Hillside Drive from West Broadway to Sunset Lane</li>
<li>Pershing Road from West Broadway to Worley Street</li>
<li>Pinewood Drive from Gary Street to the north end</li>
<li>Gary Street from Clinkscales Road to Pershing Road</li>
<li>London Drive from West Boulevard to Rowe Lane</li>
<li>London Drive from Rowe Lane west to the concrete</li>
<li>Mikel Street from West Boulevard to Clayton Street</li>
<li>Mikel Street from Clayton Street to West Sexton Road</li>
<li>Jewell Avenue from Business Loop 70 to West Forest Avenue</li>
<li>Jewell Avenue from West Forest Avenue to West Sexton Road</li>
</ul>
Crews plan to start on the south end of Columbia and move north. See the attached map for the planned work locations. <br /><br />Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Work is expected to be completed by 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, weather permitting.<br /><br />Temporary lane closures will be necessary while crews are working. Traffic control signs and flaggers will guide motorists safely through the work zones as needed. Drivers should use caution and consider alternate routes when possible.<br /><br />On streets where parking is permitted, temporary "No Parking" signs will be posted at least 24 hours in advance. Please observe the dates and times listed on the signs to help crews complete the work safely and efficiently.<br /><br />For project updates, follow Columbia Missouri Public Works on social media.</div>
