<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - The following statement is being released on behalf of Columbia City Council Members Valerie Carroll, Jacque Sample and Sharon Geuea Jones:<br /><br />Public safety is a top priority of the City Council in Columbia. The City takes the lead on matters of local jurisdiction. We also collaborate with law enforcement agencies, including the Attorney General's Office, to ensure public safety. We believe this work should include sharing information on local investigations and resources. To that end, we are asking the Attorney General's Office to meet with City leaders to coordinate efforts regarding public safety in the Walnut/9th Street area.</div>
