<div class="content"><span style="padding-left: 50px;">(COLUMBIA, MO)</span> - <p style="display:inline;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">At about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 23, Columbia Police located Christopher Dow, 34, of Columbia, inside a residence in the 4100 block of Hidden Creek Court and attempted to arrest him on a past assault charge. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dow refused to exit the residence, and police officers considered him armed and dangerous due to threats he made to harm law enforcement and a threat to explode the residence. Officers determined that Dow was the only person inside the residence.. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Members of the Columbia Police SWAT team and the Columbia Police Crisis Negotiation Team assisted police officers in arresting Dow peacefully at about 5 p.m. after a three-and-a-half-hour standoff. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Dow was arrested on charges of third-degree domestic assault, felony resisting arrest and first-degree making a terrorist threat.</span></p>
