(COLUMBIA, MO) - Effective Monday, Oct. 5, Go COMO will adjust its Orange Route service by removing the bus stop at the Ashley Street Center, shifting the location of another stop and adding an entirely new stop along Business Loop 70.

The Orange Route has served the Ashley Street Center at 1509 Ashley St. since November 2022. Following the closure of community assistance operations at the center, transit service to this location is no longer required.

Beginning Oct. 5, the Orange Route will follow an updated path:

Instead of turning north onto Bowling Street from Business Loop 70, buses will continue east on Business Loop 70 and make a stop at Patriot Place Apartments, 2112 E. Business Loop 70.

Buses will continue east to the next roundabout to turn around and head west, making a westbound stop on Business Loop 70 at Bowling Street. From there, it will continue to Rangeline Street, turning right to resume its previous route.

The new westbound bus stop on Business Loop 70 at Bowling Street will replace the previous Voluntary Action Center bus stop, which was located on Bowling Street 50 feet to the north of the new stop.

Signage informing riders of the service change will be posted at the Ashley Street Center stop and Voluntary Action Center stop, and new bus stop signs will be installed at both Business Loop locations as soon as possible.

Riders can view updates to bus service in the ETA Transit app, on Go COMO social media channels and via text alert.
