<DIV><STRONG>Volunteer Positions with the City of Columbia - Office of Neighborhood Services</STRONG><BR>The Office of Neighborhood Services works to support residential life in Columbia through<BR>residential code enforcement, rental housing inspections, and developing strong neighborhood<BR>leaders and organizations. We are looking for student volunteers this fall to help us<BR>meet our mission!</DIV>

<DIV><BR> Snow Removal Awareness Project: One position available. City ordinance requires that<BR>sidewalks are to be kept clear of snow and ice by the property or premises owner or<BR>occupant. Many properties are not cleared when ice or snow is present, causing a<BR>challenge for those trying to use the sidewalk to travel to work or school. In cooperation<BR>with the Bike & Pedestrian Commission and the Planning Department, this volunteer<BR>would develop a brochure to communicate this issue to the public and may take<BR>information door-to-door in a section of Columbia. Time commitment: flexible.<BR>Information should probably not be distributed until November to be timely when winter<BR>comes.</DIV>
