[Adult Basketball Announcements]

In honor of Homeless Youth Awareness Month, Columbia Parks & Recreation and
Rainbow House have teamed up to host a Dodge Ball Tournament:


Saturday, November 17th

Begins at 9:00 AM

Cost:  $75 per 5 person team

Ages:  Teens to Adult

Armory Sports & Community Center (701 E. Ash)


Prizes will be awarded to the 1st place teams in both competitive and
recreational brackets. There will be both competitive and recreational
brackets unless registration numbers require all registered teams to
compete in the same bracket. All teams are guaranteed at least three games.


Check in will begin at 9:00 am, games and activities will follow.


Registration forms are available at the Armory Sports and Community Center,
and the Parks & Recreation Downtown Office, or online at www.como.gov
<http://www.rainbowhousecolumbia.org/>.  Please register at the Parks &
Recreation Downtown Office (1 South 7th). Make checks payable to the City
of Columbia.  Team registration forms and payments are due by 3:00pm on
Tuesday, November 13th.



A Goods Drive will also be held to donate much needed supplies.  All
proceeds and items collected from this drive will go directly towards
aiding homeless youth in the Columbia area.  Please bring any donations to
the Armory Sports and Community Center, 701 E. Ash St., or the Parks &
Recreation Downtown Office, 1 S. 7th St.


The most needed items are:

Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Trash Bags, Dish Liquid, Laundry Detergent,
Disinfectant Wipes, Cleaning Products, Canned Fruits & Vegetables, Single
Serving Snacks, Juice Boxes, Bottled Water, Deodorant, Toothpaste &
Toothbrushes.
