Dear Thursday Night Summer Softball League Participant,

As you know, this past summer has been one of the rainiest on record. 
The weather has really tested the patience of our softball players and
the resolve of our ballfield crew.  They need to be commended for the
work they did this summer to play. 

We are interested in your feedback regarding the large number of rain
outs that have occurred this softball season on Thursdays.  We are
exploring some alternatives to end the season and we would really
appreciate your feedback.  If we were to schedule the remainder of the
rain out games at the end of the season like we typically do, we would
officially end the summer season on October 2.  This of course assumes
no more rainouts!

We have investigated a number of options for your consideration.  We
would like to gauge your opinion as you are the ones directly affected. 
 We would choose the option most preferred by our users.

Please review the proposed options and then respond to this email and
let me know which one would work best for your team.   If you have other
ideas, please feel free to suggest those as well.  We would like to make
a decision on the leagues early next week.  

Please email back by Tuesday, September 2.  Thank you for taking the
time to let us know what you think.  Your continued patience is
appreciated.

Option 1 -  Reschedule the rained out games in a tournament format the
weekend of September 13 - 14.  This would mean all games will be played
on that Saturday and/or  Sunday throughout the course of the day.  This
is one of the few weekends available.

Option 2 - End the season as presently scheduled on September 11.  A
team credit of $31.20 would be issued for each game not played due to
weather conditions.  This credit could be used for the 2009 softball
season, volleyball or basketball leagues.  This credit would be good for
one year from the date of issue.

Option 3 - Schedule the games on another night of the week in order to
get all games played.

Option 4 - Play the schedule out as long as Mother Nature challenges
us.  The last games would be scheduled for October 2.  (with no
additional rainouts)

Once again we would really appreciate your support and feedback.
