The December meeting of the city's Commission on Cultural Affairs has been canceled.  The Commission will meet next on Monday, January 12, 4:15 p.m. in the mezzanine conference room of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.  Note the following important information.

Arts Express Newsletter Deadline
In January, Arts Express will be a bi-monthly newsletter. Information about your organization's January and February events and opportunities is due on December 10. Submit via fax, 573-874-7681; e-mail, oca at GoColumbiaMo.com; or mail, OCA, P.O. Box 6015, 65205. Information cannot be taken over the phone. Small Request Funding
The next deadline for Small Request funding applications is December 10...applications will be for the second quarter of the OCA's funding, January through March.  Requests may be for up to $500 and must follow the below-listed guidelines (contact the OCA for a complete listing). Contact the OCA for application forms and guidelines, 573-874-6386, or use the on-line form at www.GoColumbiaMo.com (on the Cultural Affairs page).
* Funding is limited to one request per project. If a project is funded in the regular funding cycle it is not eligible to be considered in the Small Request category. Multiple projects from the same agency are allowed.
* Funds are available to agencies with total annual budgets of no more than $500,000 and only to arts agencies.  Collaborations are allowed, but only with an arts organization holding a 501-C-3 status as the lead agency.
* OCA does not fund capital outlay or perishable items.
