Office of Cultural Affairs Updates...
Arts Roundtable
Join us after the January 12 Commission on Cultural Affairs meeting for
an informal networking opportunity with other local arts enthusiasts;
refreshments will be served. The get-together will start at
approximately 5:15 on the mezzanine level of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.
Representatives of Missouri Citizens for the Arts will be on hand to
discuss the upcoming legislative agenda for the arts. Arts
administrators, board members and volunteers are encouraged to attend.
Annual Arts Organization Funding
If your organization is interested in applying for city arts funding,
you are strongly encouraged to attend our annual workshop; new
applicants should definitely attend. Previous applicants are likewise
encouraged to do so as guidelines change each year and the FY05 process
will include a significant change in how funds are allocated. We're
taking a different approach this year...rather than having a formal
"sit and listen" workshop, we're inviting organizational
representatives to stop by anytime noon to 7:00 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 27,
to pick up the new funding application and chat with us briefly.
We'll be in the mezzanine conference room of City Hall, 701 E.
Broadway. Hopefully you'll find time over the lunch hour, during the
afternoon or after work to come by. Representatives from the
organization Volunteer Lawyers and Accountants for the Arts will be on
hand as well so you can meet with them about questions you have or
issues facing your organization. The "workshop" is free and you do
not need to call ahead to let us know if you are coming...just stop by.
If you can't make it, please contact the OCA to receive the
application form and to discuss the process.
