Office of Cultural Affairs Updates...

UPCOMING FUNDING DEADLINES!
A reminder that deadlines for our annual arts funding process are
coming up...the optional deadline for staff review of proposals is April
8. Review is for completeness and accuracy only. You may submit any
aspect of your application...the narrative, the budget, or just a
concept you are considering...or the entire completed form. You will
not be penalized if you do not submit a draft. The final due date for
all funding applications is May 6. Applications must be in the OCA by
5:00 p.m. that day. This is not a postmark deadline -- if you are
mailing your application, allow additional time for the city's mail
room to process items after the Post Office does so. Late applications
cannot be considered.

PRINTING YOUR FUNDING APPLICATION
Almost every year, it seems, we get at least one frantic call the day
that arts funding applications are due. Since every computer and
printer set-up is potentially different (and since we are not computer
experts!), we are generally unable to assist callers. This year we have
added a link on the arts funding section of our web site that provides
resources for trouble-shooting printer problems, www.GoColumbiaMo.com
(GoWord: GoArtsFunding). You are strongly encouraged to access the
online funding form and print it well in advance of the deadline to
confirm that your computer set-up works successfully with it.

COLUMBIA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS
Applications for the visual, performing and literary components of the
Festival as well as the Commemorative Poster must be postmarked May 1.
Contact the OCA for a form, 573-874-6386, festival at GoColumbiaMo.com.
Applications for arts organization booths will be sent in May.
