Office of Cultural Affairs INFO...
ANNUAL ARTS ORGANIZATION FUNDING
On October 3, City Council authorized contracts with the 16 local arts organizations that will receive city arts funding through the OCA's annual process. We will be sending the contracts by the end of this month, along with instructions for completing revisions. Organizations must return signed contracts and requested revisions before initial payment can be made.
SMALL REQUEST FUNDING
The next deadline for Small Request funding is Dec. 12...applications will be for the second quarter of funding, Jan.-March. Requests may be for up to $500 and must follow the below-listed guidelines (contact the OCA for a complete listing). Proposed projects should be innovative, unique and represent a one-time opportunity for the community. Call 573-874-6386 for an application and guidelines, or use the on-line form at www.GoColumbiaMo.com (on the Cultural Affairs page).
* Funding is limited to one request per project. Multiple projects from the same agency are allowed.
* Funds are available to agencies with total annual budgets of no more than $500,000 and only to arts agencies. Collaborations are allowed, but only with an arts organization holding a 501c3 status as the lead agency.
* OCA does not fund capital outlay or perishable items.
COLUMBIA FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS THANKS
Sincere thanks to the area arts organizations that participated in the 14th annual Columbia Festival of the Arts last month, either by performing on stage or sponsoring a display...you helped us make it a great event for the community!
