[Commision on Cultural Affairs Meeting Agendas]

The Commission is taking a month off for summer vacation!  Their regular
monthly meetings will start up again on September 8, 4:15 p.m. in the
mezzanine conference room of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway.
 Commission meetings are always open to the public.

ANNUAL ARTS FUNDING PROCESS UPDATE
The Commission’s arts funding recommendations will be presented to
City Council for their consideration on Monday, August 18. The meeting
starts at 6:00 p.m. and is in the Council Chambers on the fourth floor
of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway. The presentation will
include an opportunity for public comment. Applicants are not required
to attend but may do so as it is an open meeting. Final approval of the
funding recommendations will not occur until late September and
contracts cannot be authorized until after October 1.
   
SMALL REQUEST FUNDING REMINDER AND FYI   
The next deadline for Small Request applications is September 10;
events/activities proposed must take place after October 1. Applications
received by September 10 will be considered by the Commission at their
October 13 meeting. Contact the OCA for an application and guidelines or
