OFFICE of CULTURAL AFFAIRS UPDATES...
Statewide Arts Summit: Saturday, April 18…Arts agency representatives
from all around the state are invited to participate in the Missouri
Arts Council’s Statewide Arts Summit. The timely topic will be
“Coping with Cutbacks: A Guide to Success When Times Are Tight.”
Participants will meet regionally, with Columbia one of seven host
cities. The event will be held at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash, 8:30 a.m. to 1
p.m. (lunch provided). Registration is per agency, not individual…so the
more people you bring, the less it will cost you. There are two ways to
register: pay online at
http://extra.macaa.net/form/ZdBKt/mac-arts-summit.html
or pay by check and register at
http://extra.macaa.net/form/sdQIe/mac-arts-summit-registration-w-check.html
The registration deadline is April 13.
Upcoming City Arts Funding Deadline! A reminder that the deadline for
our annual arts funding process is upcoming...applications must be in
the OCA by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1. This is not a postmark deadline
-- if you mail your application, allow additional time for the city’s
mail room to process items after the Post Office does so. Late
applications cannot be considered.
Printing Your City Arts Funding Application...Almost every year we get
at least one frantic call the day that arts funding applications are
due. Since every computer and printer set-up is potentially different
(and since we are not computer experts!), we are generally unable to
assist callers. Please note that there is a link on the arts funding
section of our web site that provides resources for trouble-shooting
printer problems, www.gocolumbiamo.com/Arts/Arts_Funding/index.php. You
are strongly encouraged to access the online funding form and print it
well in advance of the deadline to confirm that your computer set-up
works successfully with it.
