The Commission on Cultural Affairs will not meet in August...
The Commission is taking a month off for summer vacation!  Their
regular monthly meetings will start up again on September 14, 4:15 p.m.
in the mezzanine conference room of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E.
Broadway.  Commission meetings are always open to the public.

Annual Arts Funding Process Update...
The Commission’s work on our annual arts funding process will be
presented to City Council for their consideration on Monday, August 17.
The meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. and is in the Council Chambers on the
fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway. The
presentation will include an opportunity for public comment. Applicants
are not required to attend but may do so as it is an open meeting. Final
approval of the funding recommendations will not occur until late
September. Contracts will be authorized after October 1 and then sent to
funded agencies.
   
Small Request Funding Reminder & FYI...  
The next deadline for Small Request applications is September 10;
events/activities proposed must take place after October 1, and
preferably after the October 12 Commission meeting. Applications
received by September 10 will be considered by the Commission at their
