OFFICE of CULTURAL AFFAIRS UPDATES...
SMALL REQUEST FUNDING...the next deadline for Small Request funding is
March 10. Requests may be for up to $500 and are available only to arts
organizations with 501c3 status (though collaborations are allowed).

more information and the fillable application form.
ANNUAL ARTS FUNDING PROCESS...hard copies of the application form for
arts education and presentation projects are available at the OCA. Our
online form will be on the web after February 16,
www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts (look for the “arts agency” link at the
top of the page). If you missed our January 29 workshop about the
process, contact us to discuss the new form.
TRAFFIC BOX ART...Artists residing in central Missouri are eligible to
submit a design for the OCA’s new Traffic Box Art program; $1,500
honorarium, plus a materials fee. Postmark deadline is February 16. See

for the “artist opportunity” link at the top of the page).
CITY COMMEMORATIVE POSTER...Missouri artists are invited to submit
their art work for the city’s annual Commemorative Poster competition;
$1,000 honorarium. The postmark deadline is March 10. For the guidelines

opportunity” link at the top of the page).
ARTISTS’ REGISTRY...Individuals and groups working in visual art,
music, dance, theater and literary art as well as arts organizations and
arts businesses are eligible to have a free listing in our Artists’
Registry. Joining is easy, just go to www.OCAregistry.com and complete a
profile and add an entry. There is no charge for being listed.
SAVE THE DATE: MISSOURI ARTS COUNCIL SUMMIT…Join us Saturday, April 18,
8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the mid-Missouri installment of the Missouri Art
Council’s “Guide to Success When Times Are Tight.” Attendees will
take part in a statewide webinar on the topic. Stay tuned for specifics,
including location and registration information.
