Small Request Funding Opportunity
April marks the beginning of the third quarter of the OCA’s fiscal
year, which means that Small Request applications must be received by  5
p.m. on March 10. Requests may be for up to $500 and must be from an
arts agency with 501c3 status. Applications will be reviewed and
allocations made at the Commission on Cultural Affairs’ April meeting.

Annual Arts Funding Applications
Applications for the city’s annual arts funding process are available
at the OCA or online at www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts (look for the “arts
agency opportunity” link near the top of the page). Plan ahead and
make sure that your computer and printer are compatible. The deadline
for the optional staff review of proposals is April 3. The final due
date for all funding applications is  May 1; applications must be in the
OCA by 5 p.m. that day. This is not a postmark deadline; if you are
mailing your application, allow additional time for the city’s mail
room to process items after the Post Office does so. Late applications
cannot be considered.

Statewide Arts Summit: Save the Date
On Saturday, April 18, arts agency representatives from all around the
state will participate in the Missouri Arts Council’s Art Summit with
the timely topic “Coping with Cutbacks: A Guide to Success When Times
Are Tight.” Participants will meet regionally, with Columbia one of
seven host cities. The event will be at the ARC, 1701 W. Ash Street,
starting at 8:30 a.m. Watch for more info. soon, including a pricing
structure that will allow for multiple representatives from any one
agency to attend for nominal fees.
