City Arts Funding Information
A workshop is not being held this year since no changes were made to
the application form or process. If you have questions about a program
idea or any aspect of the form or process, please contact the OCA to
meet in person with staff. Staff is also available to field email
inquiries or take phone calls. New applicants or those that have been
zero-funded in the past are strongly encouraged to submit a draft for
review by staff. Guidelines and the application form will be mailed out
by January 31 to those who have previously applied for city arts
funding. The information is available on the Office of Cultural Affairs'
web site as well, www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts.
Arts Express Newsletter Deadlines in 2011
Don’t miss an opportunity to get the word out about your programs and
services! Our Arts Express newsletter is mailed to more than 1600 and
e-mailed to 900. Send information to the OCA, P.O. Box 6015, Columbia,
65205; fax to 573-874-7681; or e-mail to ArtsExpress at GoColumbiaMo.com;
submissions cannot be accepted by phone. Our 2011 deadlines are as
follows.
March-April issue: entries due 02-01
May-June issue: entries due 04-01
July-Aug. issue: entries due 06-01
Sept.-Oct. issue: entries due 08-01
Nov.-Dec. issue: entries due 10-03
Jan.-Feb. ‘12 issue: entries due 12-01-11
Artist Opportunities
● Traffic Box Art…Open to artists residing in mid-Missouri; $1,500
honorarium, plus materials fee; postmark deadline February 18. See

● Commemorative Poster…Open to artists residing in the state of
Missouri; $1,000 honorarium; postmark deadline March 25. See

Join arts enthusiasts from around the state for the annual “Citizens
for the Arts Day at the Legislature” on Wednesday, February 16 in
Jefferson City, and help advocate for state support of the arts.
