Annual Arts Funding Application Review

Did your organization submit an arts funding application? If so,
consider attending the next meeting of the Commission on Cultural
Affairs, Monday, June 13, at 5 p.m. in conference rooms 1A and 1B of
City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, when Commissioners will be reviewing the
applications. The meeting is open to the public and is an excellent
opportunity to become familiar with the process. Applicants are
encouraged to attend. While the minutes of the meeting will be available
after the fact, sitting in on the meeting will prove to be much more
informative as you implement your projects and formulate future
proposals. The meeting is a long one...it will start at 5 p.m. and may
last several hours. Audience members may come and go, though it is
recommended that you bring a drink or snack if you plan to stay long.
Public comment does not occur at the meeting - audience members are
observers only so that no organization is allowed to “testify” or
lobby. The Commission’s July 11 meeting will include an opportunity
for organizations to make public comment (contact us for specific
location and time).
