OFFICE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS UPDATES...
Annual Arts Organization Funding
City Council authorized contracts with the 19 local arts agencies that
will receive funding through the OCA’s annual process. We will be
sending the contracts by the end of October, along with instructions for
completing narrative and budget revisions. Organizations must return
signed contracts and required revisions before an initial payment can be
made. If you have questions, please call 573-874-6386 or e-mail
oca at GoColumbiaMo.com.
Small Request Arts Funding
The maximum funding amount for Small Request Arts Funding has been
raised from $500 to $750. The next deadline for applications is December
12 and proposals must follow the below-listed guidelines. Proposed
projects should be innovative, unique and represent a one-time
opportunity for the community. Call 573-874-6386 for an application and
guidelines, or use the on-line form at www.GoColumbiaMo.com (on the
Cultural Affairs page).
● Funding is limited to one request per project. Multiple projects
from the same agency are allowed.
● Funds are available to agencies with total annual budgets of no
more than $500,000 and only to arts agencies. Collaborations are
allowed, but only with an arts organization holding a 501c3 status as
the lead agency.
● OCA does not fund capital outlay or perishable items.
Get a Missouri Arts Council Grant!
The Missouri Arts Council (MAC) is presenting a free grant application
workshop that covers basic information on MAC grants, both monthly and
annual, including eligibility information, creating an online profile,
the application and panel process, preparing support materials and how
to address narrative questions. If you have never applied for MAC
funding, or seek to improve your grant application, you will benefit
from attending this workshop. Note that MAC grants are available only to
organizations, not individuals. RSVP now to ensure that space is
available.
