The Commission on Cultural Affairs will meet on Monday, July 8, at 4:15
p.m. in the community room of the Walton Building, 300 S. Providence
Road. A public hearing on FY14 arts funding will not begin until 5:15 p.m.

****OFFICE of CULTURAL AFFAIRS UPDATES****

*City Arts Funding*

At their July 8th meeting, the Commission on Cultural Affairs will review
their recommendations for funding of local arts organizations. The meeting
will be held in the community room at the Walton Building, 300 S.
Providence Road, and will start at 4:15 p.m. The public hearing portion of
the meeting will not begin until 5:15 p.m. Applicants are invited to attend
and address the Commission, but are not required to do so.  After the
Commission acts on their recommendations, they will be forwarded to City
Council for review. Applicants will be notified of the date and time of the
Council meeting.



*Input on the Annual Arts Funding Process*

This year’s survey requesting feedback from applicants on the funding
process will be completed online. The link to the form was sent to
applicants along with their scores and preliminary award amounts. Please
complete the survey as soon as possible so we can continue to assess and
improve our funding process. Your input is important to us as it helps us
to measure the clarity of the application form and the overall ease of the
process.

Congratulations to Chris Stevens on his new position as Art and Culture
Program Manager for the Denver International Airport. Chris has worked for
many years supporting the arts and developing opportunities for artists in
the Columbia community prior to serving as manager of the OCA. Thank you
for your many contributions to the arts in our community.

this logo on all printed and online materials when recognizing the OCA. All
logo files can be downloaded from our website; go to “About Us” on the left
side bar and click on “Logos.”
