*OTHER ARTS INFO:*
*Annual Arts Funding Process: *The application form and guidelines for
arts education and presentation projects were mailed to local arts
organizations at the end of January. Please let OCA staff know if you have
not received yours or would like to receive one. The online form can be
found at: www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts under Funding Opportunities; click on
"annual" for all the funding forms. If you have questions about a program
idea or any aspect of the form or process, please contact staff.
*New Guidelines for Small Request Funding: *The due date for Small Request
applications has been changed to a rolling deadline. Applications must be
submitted to the OCA office no later than two months prior to the project's
start date (i.e., if your project begins on May 15, your application must
be received by March 15). This change will be more responsive to the needs
of our art organizations. As in the past, only arts organizations with
501(c)(3) status may apply; if you do not have a 501(c)(3) you may
collaborate with an organization that does. Contact OCA or go to
www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts <http://www.gocolumbiamo.com/Arts> for more
information and the application form.
*City Commemorative Poster: *Mid-Missouri artists are invited to submit
their art work for the city's annual Commemorative Poster competition. An
award of $1,000 is presented to the artist selected. Application deadline
is March 21. To apply, please complete the online submission form, which is
listed under Artists Opportunities at
www.GoColumbiaMo.com/Arts<http://www.gocolumbiamo.com/Arts>.
*Another opportunity to be an Arts Advocate!*
Due to the bad weather last week, MCA Citizens Day at the Legislature is
being rescheduled to coincide with Missouri Arts Alliance for Education's
day at the capitol. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 12, and join
other arts enthusiasts from around the state to help advocate for state
support of the arts. Contact Missouri Citizens for the Arts for more
information www.mo4arts.org or email advocates at mo4arts.org.
